BUTTERFLY PRESERVATION WORKSHOP

What will I learn in this class?
In this class you will learn how to use the tools needed for insect preservation, and how to rehydrate and set 2 different butterfly specimens. You will learn about the framing process and how to create your own magical butterfly frame display.

Do I get to keep the kit/tools?
Absolutely! You will take home your own kit including the tools needed for insect preservation, as well as your 2 set butterfly specimens and the frame needed to display them.

How many people are in each class?
We have a maximum of 4 participants per class. That way there is plenty on one-on-one guidance for each participant.

How long does the class go for?
Classes run for about 90 minutes. However, please remain flexible as this may run over.

Where are the classes held?
At out very own studio space located at Shop 14, Fathom Turn in the Dolphin Quay Marina, Mandurah.

Can I choose what butterflies I want to work with?
We will choose the butterfly specimens that you will work in the class, but rest assured, they're beautiful butterflies!

Can I book a private session?
Private sessions can be booked subject to availability. Please not that these classes are more expensive per person, at $349 per attendee for the workshop. These classes can be booked for 1 - 4 people. Please contact us via the Workshop Enquiry Form HERE 

How old do I need to be to partake in the class?
Workshop participants must be 16 years or older. If you or the intended participant are under 16 years old, please contact us via the Private Workshop Enquiry Form HERE

Do you cater for all abilities groups?

I'm a carer, can I come too?
Absolutely. We can arrange sessions with 2 participants, and 2 carers. Our studio space has a maximum of 4 people. It is up to you as the carer if you would also like to take place in the course, or just be there to assist. Please contact us via the Workshop Enquiry Form HERE

Can I bring someone with me?
We are limited on numbers, so your individual booked session will only allow you to attend. We cannot have spectators attend.
